He Chased Me Until I Caught Him!

LOL!

That is what Frank always says about how we ended up getting together ten years ago.

It’s a long, long story.  Some of my regulars who have formed a deep working relationship with me through the Life Coaching Process are well aware of it, as, when appropriate, I have cited examples from this decade of trials and tribulations.

Some Advisors do not feel it is appropriate to use personal experience in order to counsel others.  I happen to believe that it is an integral part of the Life Coaching Process.  Personally, I don’t give credence to anyone who offers me advice or counsel unless they have had some experience with a like situation themselves.

Oh, if you are just calling me for a “Quickie Psychic Reading”, I will accommodate you, but the clients who benefit the MOST from my service are clients who are seekers of not only a predictive reading, but also counsel on how to best navigate their current course.  These are the clients who ultimately make the most extensive progress and are most likely to achieve their goals.

Anyway, throughout our ten year history I have learned a lot.  I suffered a lot too, when I didn’t follow the natural energies of the male/female relationship.  There were times when I totally succumbed to my masculine energies and hit a lot of hard challenges when I did.

How the ultimate success of our relationship unfolded was when I truly self-disciplined myself to stay in the primary energy role of the feminine.  This doesn’t mean that you play games, it is a conscious choice that you make, and for a Type A Personality like myself, whose natural primary energy is masculine, this was no mean feat.  It was hard!!!

Now that we have true commitiment, we are able to change back and forth between all four of our combined energies, but I still pay close attention to when they start to go off balance, and then evoke the primary energy necessary to put us back on balance.  It is hard work.

One of the things we all must remember is that reaching the level of a true commitment, like marriage, is not the end all and be all, it is not the “goal” as my title suggests, it is the beginning of the next stage of our lives.

No more is it a simple task to severe the tie, now neither one of us can just say, “I want to break up” and walk away without going through the complexities and hassles of disentangling our connection through divorce.  It is a lot harder to get out of a marriage than it is to get into one, and being a second marriage for both of us, we have our own specific set of challenges to face once we have tied this knot.

We both have children.  We both have exes.  We both have plenty of baggage.

The good thing is, we are both aware of it, so the only baggage that gets into our energy is our “carry on baggage”, like the fact that my youngest son still lives at home.  Yes, that is baggage, but it is carry on because Frank understands that it is a package deal in that respect.  This is not “excess baggage” that you pay a fee to tote along with you, like resentment toward your first spouse might be.

So, although I am very happy about the life changes I am about to undertake, I am doing so with full awareness that this is not the end of the journey, just the beginning of the next leg.

It is funny, though, when Frank says “He chased me until I caught him”, because in effect, utilizing your feminine energies causes just that phrase to occur!
